FLUNIXIN  INJECTION (Generic Banamine) (50mg/ml) is recommended for the alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders in the horse, dogs and camels.

For:  Horses, Dogs and Camels Indications: -Recommended for the alleviation of visceral pain associated with colic horses. -Treatment may be given by intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM)  injection and repeated for up to five days. Studies show onset activity is within 2 hours. Peak response occurs between 12 and 16 hours and duration of activity is 24-36 hours.

Active ingredient:  Flunixamine 50mg/ml

Sold in 100ml vials There are no known side effects. If overdose occurs contact your nearest pet hospital immediately.  Store at room temperature.

Dosage and Administration:  Horses:  Administer 10ml by intramuscular or intravenous injection, although because it is very irritating to tissue, the intravenous route is preferred and in cattle it is the labeled route of administration. Dosages are usually reduced for ponies, who are more at-risk for NSAID side effects, as well as horses with decreased liver or kidney function such as older horses. The recommended dose for musculoskeletal disorders is 0.5 mg per pound (1ml/100 lbs) of body weight once daily. For the alleviation of pain associated with equine colic is 0.5 mg per pound of body weight.  Intravenous administration is always recommended for prompt relief.

The solution is acceptable for use when clear, colorless to pale yellow to yellow. Do not use this solution if it appears discolored. Do not puncture the stopper more than 30 times.
